BdKom & Quadriga: Occupational field study 2024
The Professional Field Study 2024 provides a comprehensive overview of the current situation and developments in the communications industry. The Bundesverband der Kommunikatoren e.V. and Quadriga have once again taken a close look at the profession. Over 1,700 communications professionals took part in this year’s survey, providing fascinating insights. The key findings include the biggest challenges facing the industry, such as the intensification of communication, dealing with AI and the influence of populism. The shortage of skilled workers is also having an impact and is noticeably influencing the work of communications managers.
The study also provides answers to interesting questions: Where do people earn the most and which sectors are seeing the biggest budget increases? What is the situation with home office arrangements, and where is it still compulsory to work in an office? There is also a special focus on gender development. Women are now in the majority at management level and the pay gap is closing faster than the national average.
