Impact measurement is like a giant puzzle

Complete communication controlling with impact measurement is like a 5000-piece jigsaw puzzle: it looks great on the packaging, but is difficult to complete in one go. It takes patience and method – and sometimes help.

Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications

June 13, 2023

With the publication of our book “Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications,” we have reached an important milestone in the work of the CommTech WG. With this book, the editors and authors hope to provide practical advice to help all those involved in the digitization of communication and who want to adapt to the disruptive effect of CommTech in their work along their path. We have only been able to experience how quickly digitization is progressing in the last few months “live and in color” with the introduction of ChatGPT – and this is by no means the end. In the CommTech WG, we have therefore made it our task to accompany these developments for communications practice and are continuously producing materials, further training opportunities and exchange platforms to promote successful change. We hope that this book will help to encourage all communicators on this path and provide them with the tools they need to successfully manage change.

Webinar: How artificial intelligence is democratizing media analysis

April 24, 2025, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Gone are the days when communications departments could only prove their success with quantity figures: so many clippings, so much reach, so many likes. This is media analysis from the Stone Age, because these analyses say nothing about WHAT is being talked about and what the tone of the reporting is like. In the past, only large corporations could afford these analyses, as the publications had to be coded by hand. Today, AI takes over this task, making professional media analysis possible for small budgets. We will show how communicators can use AI in media analysis in a free webinar by AG CommTech on April 24 from 10:00 to 11:00. Included are:

  • Tim Kreitlow, Head of Corporate Newsroom at TÜV NORD GROUP,
  • Thomas Mickeleit, formerly head of communications at Microsoft Germany and a pioneer in digital communications,
  • Jörg Forthmann, Managing Director of IMWF.
