What about the input, the costs of communication? How can we measure that?

The input is usually underestimated when measuring impact or controlling communication. It is clearly defined in the DPRG/ICV impact levels: external costs and internal expenses. Formally, controllers want to compare the input with the outflow. And communicators also use ROI to determine the return on their activities – both overall and for individual activities. But ROI is of course only possible if the investment is also determined. How can this be measured?

Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications

June 13, 2023

With the publication of our book “Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications,” we have reached an important milestone in the work of the CommTech WG. With this book, the editors and authors hope to provide practical advice to help all those involved in the digitization of communication and who want to adapt to the disruptive effect of CommTech in their work along their path. We have only been able to experience how quickly digitization is progressing in the last few months “live and in color” with the introduction of ChatGPT – and this is by no means the end. In the CommTech WG, we have therefore made it our task to accompany these developments for communications practice and are continuously producing materials, further training opportunities and exchange platforms to promote successful change. We hope that this book will help to encourage all communicators on this path and provide them with the tools they need to successfully manage change.

We will show you how to do this in the free webinar “How to create effective content and distribute it successfully” on May 28 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Included are:
  • Stefan Moriße, Vice President External Communication & Media Relations at E.ON Deutschland,
