Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications

June 13, 2023

With the publication of our book “Success Factor CommTech: The Digital Transformation of Corporate Communications,” we have reached an important milestone in the work of the CommTech WG. With this book, the editors and authors hope to provide practical advice to help all those involved in the digitization of communication and who want to adapt to the disruptive effect of CommTech in their work along their path. We have only been able to experience how quickly digitization is progressing in the last few months “live and in color” with the introduction of ChatGPT – and this is by no means the end. In the CommTech WG, we have therefore made it our task to accompany these developments for communications practice and are continuously producing materials, further training opportunities and exchange platforms to promote successful change. We hope that this book will help to encourage all communicators on this path and provide them with the tools they need to successfully manage change.

Predictive Communications: From [AlphaGo] to Narrative [Intelligence]

The whitepaper “Predictive Communications: From [AlphaGo] to Narrative [Intelligence]” was written by Nanne H.C. Bos for the Scriptorium Initiative. It uses AlphaGo, Google’s AI specialized in the board game Go, as a starting point to ask what predictive AI means for communication, reputation and narrative strategy. The text draws the line early on: AI is not ascribed clairvoyant abilities. Instead, it functions as a tool for early warning, scenarios, narrative detection and dealing with disinformation.

RETHINKING CORPORATE COMMUNICATION: PROVIDING ORIENTATION IN TIMES OF RADICAL UNCERTAINTY

In this article in the Corporate Communication Review, Christof Ehrhart, honorary professor at the University of Leipzig, discusses the role of corporate communication under conditions of radical uncertainty. The article asks how communication can provide orientation when companies have to deal with fragmented publics, politicized stakeholder expectations and technologically changed communication spaces.

Webinar: So stellen Kommunikationsabteilungen ihre Erfolge beim Topmanagement unter Beweis

In harten Zahlen. Möglichst in Euro. Managementrelevant.

  • Lena Wouters, Körber AG, Head of Brand & Communications Strategy,
  • Matthias Mezele, Körber AG, Head of Digital Communications,

The era of agents begins: What communications managers need to know now

André Pechmann: The coming months will be crucial for the use of AI and AI agents. New functions are constantly being released, such as the new Copilot Tasks: Microsoft 365 Copilot can use this to independently operate a wide variety of programs on the PC to carry out certain tasks at set times. This is just one example of how AI is now acting more and more autonomously, and that is the big trend.
