European Communication Monitor 2022

This year’s European Communication Monitor deals, among other things, with strategic issues, characteristics of excellent communication departments and, once again, the topic of CommTech. For this, 1,672 communications professionals from a wide variety of types of organizations in 43 countries were surveyed. The results show that very few communications departments have yet established advanced use of CommTech to digitize internal workflows and communications activities. According to the respondents, the reason for this is not technological aspects, but primarily internal structural barriers such as a lack of support from the IT department or inflexible structures. In addition, as in the European Communication Monitor 2021, regional differences are again apparent. The full results of the study can be accessed free of charge.
