NORA: The Nordic Communications Report 2022

In cooperation with the Nordic Alliance for Communication and Management (NORA), national communication associations in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, and the European Communication Monitor series, the second Nordic Communication Reporter has been published. It highlights current and future trends in communications in the Nordic region and looks to the future by considering strategic issues and ways of working in the industry in the years ahead. The report also provides insights into the impact of the debates on diversity, equality and inclusion on the profession and addresses the issue of empathetic leadership. Also included is a look at CommTech and the digital transformation of communications.

For example, it shows that Nordic countries lag behind their European competitors when it comes to the current state of digitization. While 6.2% of departments in Europe have already digitized their core activities and show advanced use of CommTech, only 2.7% in the Nordic countries have done so. Also interesting: In contrast to European communicators, they see the impact of CommTech somewhat more on an organizational rather than a personal level. Sounds exciting?
